Vinyl privacy fence installation is putting up solid vinyl panels with no gaps, designed to fully block sightlines into a yard, unlike a picket or semi-private style that lets some visibility through. This is the most popular vinyl fence style for backyards specifically because it delivers real privacy while completely avoiding the maintenance cycle that a wood privacy fence requires – no staining, no repainting, no rot.
You're a candidate for this if you want full backyard privacy from neighbors or the street, if you're tired of maintaining a wood privacy fence that needs regular staining or has started warping and rotting, or if you're fencing a new property and want a privacy solution that will genuinely require no upkeep for decades rather than becoming a recurring maintenance project.
We start by laying out the fence line and setting posts in concrete at intervals matched to the vinyl panel width, since vinyl privacy panels are manufactured to specific dimensions and need consistent post spacing to install properly without excessive custom cutting. Once posts are set and cured, solid privacy panels are installed between them, checked for level across any grade changes in the yard – vinyl fencing needs to step down gracefully on sloped ground rather than leaving gaps at the bottom, and we handle that during layout. Gates are installed at any access points, hung and adjusted to swing freely and latch securely.
Cost depends on total linear footage, fence height, and site conditions like slopes or obstacles that add installation complexity. Properties in Jericho, VT with straightforward, flat, obstacle-free fence lines typically see more efficient installation and better pricing than yards with significant grade changes or existing landscaping to work around.
